Experience

Roles and dates

May 2026 - Present

Data Scientist - Volunteer, Indiana University School of Medicine

Volunteer data science work in the Alexandre G. Obukhov Laboratory. Contributed Python tools for biological motion analysis, helped organize computational workflows, supported non-technical staff with analysis setup, and worked with OpenCV, Pandas, Matplotlib, Linux, KVM virtualization, GPU passthrough, and CUDA.

Aug 2025 - Jul 2026

Data Science Intern, Indiana University School of Medicine

Internship with the Yao-Ying Ma Laboratory focused on calcium imaging datasets from miniscope recordings. Supported preprocessing and validation workflows using Minian, FFT-based rigid motion correction, CNMF source separation, CalTrig, SSH, Linux servers, remote desktop, SLURM, and the Quartz HPC cluster.

Mar 2025 - May 2026

Technical Founder, Oboukhov Entertainment

Built small video and music software projects, including local playback tools, media organization experiments, and early recommendation/indexing prototypes using Python, Qt Multimedia, Electron, JavaScript, C++, FFmpeg, OpenCV, JSON, and SQLite.

2026 - 2030

B.S. Neuroscience, Indiana University Indianapolis

Bachelor of Science program in neuroscience.

Bio

I write software for neuroscience data and computer vision workflows.

I am a neuroscience student and software developer in Indianapolis. My work is broader than one institution or lab: I have built media software, desktop tools, computer vision prototypes, and Python scripts for data analysis.

My lab experience gave me useful exposure to calcium imaging, electrophysiology workflows, and research computing. Long term, I am interested in computer vision, machine learning, computational neuroscience, and software that is easy to inspect, run, and improve.
